Life has been so busy lately but I keep thinking back to my blog! We’ve been trying to figure out family life with two very busy parents.
We finally hired a babysitter to look after the kids in the afternoon while I’m at work and before Umberto gets home, I am praying it works out for us. We need her and have been searching awhile for a babysitter, so fingers crossed she’s the one.
We celebrated Thanksgiving Thursday with a mixed group of Americans and Italians. I can honestly say, this was the best Thanksgiving food wise and maybe company-wise too. We had such a good time, it was low key and low stress. The food was excellent. We ordered turkey legs from a restaurant to take the stress of the turkey baking off of us. I made the sweet potato casserole, rolls, cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy, and the baked brie appetizer. Our friends brought the desserts, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. Everything tasted amazing. The kids had a great time running around and playing all afternoon.
Other new things in our life include testing out the Italian version of Blue Apron this week, Quomi…I will report back on how we find it! I’ve been hitting up a fitness class 3 days a week and meeting a friend to go running.
